Coul Links Under Threat Again

After a few years' respite from developers thanks to a successful petition by objectors and a lot of NGO pressure, Coul Links is again under threat from the same cause - a proposed new golf course. This IUCN Endangered and endemic anthomyid fly, described as new to science in 1989 by Michael Ackland, is localized along 8 km of coastal dunes at Coul Links and the Dornoch Firth - its only known locality.
