Description

The course will appeal to anyone with an interest in the natural world. You won’t need any prior knowledge just a willingness to immerse yourself in the life of hoverflies for a day. There will be a mix of presentations, fieldwork and identification using various guides. The day will be varied with lots of opportunity to learn about these fascinating and incredibly diverse insects. By the end of the day you should have a good understanding of what makes them buzz and why they make such an attractive and fascinating group of insects to study. Bursaries are available for this course, generously organised by the Suffolk Biodiversity Information Service. Please contact FSC Flatford Mill for details. Tutor: John Biglin.
