CANCELLED: Dipterists Forum 2020 Spring Field Meeting, The Broads

Unfortunately this event has had to be cancelled in response to the coronavirus situation. We hope to run it in 2021.

The Spring Meeting will be based in the north Suffolk town of Lowestoft where there is a diversity of accommodation types including a Travelodge, Premier Inn and other inexpensive hotels, together with B&Bs etc. There will be a chance to visit several broadland sites, such as Chedgrave (Hardley Floods) and Surlingham (Wheatfen -Ted Ellis Trust and Church Marsh – RSPB) along the Yare valley and Waveney valley sites such as Carlton Marshes, Castle Marshes and North Cove (Suffolk Wildlife Trust). Additionally, it will be possible to visit some coastal sites such as Benacre and Kessingland Ness.
